Autism-Affirming Therapy in Portland, Oregon & Online Across Oregon
Therapy for Autism Spectrum Disorder
Are you exhausted from getting brushed off by medical providers because you don’t look autistic?
Have you been told there’s “nothing they can do” or you’re too “old” for help? But you’re still struggling with tasks like hygiene, going grocery shopping, needing to navigate the airport, or feeling lonely?
Whether you’re late-diagnosed autistic, considering an autism assessment, or looking for more support than your previous testing gave you, you’re in the right place. We’ll work together to help you & your loved ones recognize the ”rumbling” stages of meltdowns and shutdowns, identify and advocate for supports, & develop emotional regulation strategies to help you thrive.
Meet your therapist & resident nerd.
Hey! I’m Cassandra Miasnikov, an LGBTQ+ neurodivergent therapist. I was diagnosed with ADHD & autism as a teen, and I know it’s not easy living in a world that wasn’t designed for you.
No one should spend years getting brushed off by providers working from outdated research. I specialize in working with women, gender-diverse people, and people of color whose neurodivergence often doesn't look the way providers expect.
I've also presented clinical research on neurodivergence at universities and conferences across the U.S. and internationally, and written on autism for publications including Business Insider.
My approach is collaborative and practical, grounded in ACT, CBT, and DBT. We’ll help you understand your brain, build self-trust, and create systems that work for you.
I offer autism-affirming therapy in Portland and across Oregon via telehealth.
Looking for autism therapy in Portland, Oregon, or across the state? You’re in the right place.
I’m so glad you’re here! Here’s how therapy for autism works, including session options, pricing, and how to get started.
-
I provide individual therapy for OCD, ADHD, autism, and related concerns using evidence-based approaches including ERP, ACT, CBT, and DBT-informed care.
Sessions are collaborative, practical, and tailored to your goals; whether that’s reducing compulsions, managing overwhelm, or building a more sustainable relationship with your brain.
I specialize in working with clients who feel “high-functioning” but stuck, as well as those who haven’t seen themselves reflected in traditional therapy models.
Fee: $200 per 50-minute session
A limited number of sliding-scale spots may be available.
-
Many of us struggle with finding the right words to communicate to our loved ones what we need, when we need it.
Conflict can make many neurodivergent people feel lonely, hopeless, and scared.
It doesn't have to stay that way. We’ll help you and your loved ones find the right communication tools and emotional regulation skills to help you reconnect.
-
I accept the following insurance plans:
• CareOregon
• InterCommunity Health Network (IHN)
For clients using insurance, coverage and out-of-pocket costs will depend on your specific plan. I recommend contacting your insurance provider to confirm benefits.
For private-pay clients, sessions are $200 per 50-minute session.
If you’re unsure where to start, I’m happy to help you understand your options during a free consultation.
